AUSTSWIM AUSTSWIM is the Australian Council for the Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety. It has a Branch in each state and territory of Australia. AUSTSWIM is a non-profit organisation.

Swim Australia Launched in 1997 by the Federal Minister for Sport and Recreation, Swim Australia’s mission is to develop "learn-to-swim" in Australia to its full potential; resulting in all Australians learning swimming and water safety in an enjoyable, safe way.

Swim And Survive Since 1982 nearly 10 million Australians have participated in the Royal Life Saving Society's Swim and Survive Program. During this time there has been a 75% reduction in drowning in the 5-14 year age group.

Kids Alive Do The Five Drowning is the greatest cause of accidental death in the under five age group in Australia. Every year, one child drowns each week. Laurie Lawrence's passion for reducing preschool drowning resulted in the Kids Alive - Do The Five! water safety program in 1988.
